AMERICAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE ONTARIO CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP
for Graduate Studies in the Field of Concrete Research

Financial Award: One $1,000 (CDN) award is available through the ACI Ontario Chapter for graduate studies in the field of concrete research and concrete
construction for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Requirements: This award is open to any student who has completed a
bachelors degree from an accredited higher education institute. The following criteria must be met by the applicant:

• Must have possession of a bachelors degree from an
  accredited program by the summer of 2009.
• At the time of acceptance of this award (but not necessarily at the time of application) the applicant must have been accepted for graduate study. The graduate program MUST be in concrete research or concrete construction at an accredited university in ONTARIO
  (Toronto, Royal Military College, Laurentian, Lakehead, McMaster, Ryerson,
  Western, Guelph, Queens or Waterloo) which offers a graduate program in
  concrete design or construction.
• Must be a full-time graduate student during the
  entire scholarship year.
  

Submission of Application: Applications may be obtained from the ACI Ontario
Chapter website at www.aci-ontariochapter.ca. If you would like to receive a
graduate scholarship application by e-mail, send your request to
sdesouza@shaheenpeaker.ca or apply online. Completed applications must be
received no later than June 30, 2009.

Statement of Appraisal of Applicant for:
American Concrete Institute Ontario Chapter Scholarship

TO APPLICANT: You must have two letters of recommendation. Please give this
evaluation checklist to each person you have requested to submit a
recommendation. The evaluators must send letters directly to ACI Ontario
Chapter Attention: Mr. Savio DeSouza, prior to June 30, 2009.
Recommendations sent to ACI Ontario Chapter by the applicant will not be
accepted.

TO EVALUATOR: Your letter of recommendation should be typewritten. Comments
must cover the following topics, and be received by ACI Ontario Chapter by
June 30, 2009.
